Atlante Strengthens Its Commitment to Sustainability with Veganuary 2025

Atlante reaffirms its dedication to environmental sustainability and animal welfare by once again participating in the international Veganuary campaign with Vegamo, a brand that offers a comprehensive and contemporary range of meat alternatives.
A Global Movement with a Tangible Impact on the Planet
Each year, the Veganuary initiative raises awareness worldwide about the importance of a plant-based diet. Over the years, it has engaged an increasing number of participants, reaching 6 million in 2024 (source: Kantar). The campaign goes beyond raising awareness, achieving tangible results in terms of sustainability. For every million people adopting a vegan diet, the impact is substantial: 103,840 tonnes of CO2 emissions avoided, 6.2 million litres of water saved, and as many as 3.4 million animal lives spared (source: Veganuary).
A Strategic Opportunity for the Food Industry
Veganuary has become a genuine accelerator for the plant-based market, bridging the gap between increasingly curious consumers and businesses ready to meet this growing demand.
During the 2024 campaign, 890 new vegan products were launched globally, and over 1,250 new plant-based options were introduced to restaurant and food chain menus. In Italy, the Food Service sector enthusiastically embraced the initiative, with over 100 renowned restaurant chains offering special deals on vegan options throughout January.

Expanding our plant-based product range to increase the variety of plant-based options available on the market represents a step towards a more responsible and inclusive future. At Marca 2025, we presented our latest Vegamo innovations: three plant-based cheese alternatives designed to meet consumer needs for different occasions.
